In cooperation with START 4.0, Circle Group is participating in the development of an intelligent system for the management and optimisation of truck flows in and out of logistics terminals.
The project involves the use of advanced machine learning and data analysis techniques, as well as support in the communication and dissemination of results.
Circle is a partner in the RAISE project, with an active role in Spoke 4, focusing on technological innovation for smart and sustainable ports. In this context, Circle develops digital solutions integrating optimisation models, artificial intelligence and digital twin for monitoring and planning road and rail transport, contributing to more efficient and sustainable logistics activities.
In line with these objectives, it also participates in the pilot project for the Simplified Logistics Zone, aimed at simplifying customs procedures and improving intermodality through the use of a shared digital platform.
Circle is a partner in the ELODIE project, which aims at the realisation of federated services to foster the integration of information systems between public and private logistics players. In collaboration with eXyond, a Group company with a strong verticalisation on the world of Gate Automation, Node Interoperability, Telematics & Infomobility, it develops technological connectors between local digital systems and the national infrastructure, with a focus on full interoperability with digital platforms such as e-CMR, in compliance with European standards on the digitalisation of freight transport.
Furthermore, the solutions are in line with the EU eFTI Regulation 1056/2020 that establishes a legal framework for electronic communication between public and private operators at EU level in line with the new solutions enabling automated data exchange between the public and private sectors. The aim is to make freight villages smart, interoperable and sustainable nodes
TULIP is developing a modular decision-support system, based on intelligent optimisation, AI and IoT technologies, to improve the interoperability and efficiency of multimodal freight transport by enhancing operational performance at port terminals.
Funded by the European Union, the AutoMoTIF project involves Circle Group and Magellan Circle as part of a consortium of 17 partners. The initiative focuses on developing strategies and governance models for the integration and interoperability of automated transport systems within the intra-European network.
Through the use of advanced simulations and enhanced digital integration, the project aims to make intermodal freight flows and logistics supply chains more fluid, reducing manual intervention and optimising operations at critical hubs such as ports and rail terminals.
eFTI4EU is a cooperation of a pan-European consortium of 23 partners, including 9 Member States. It is the first project making the EU Regulation 2020/1056 (Electronic Freight Transport Information – eFTI) real.
Its aim is to create a unified approach to the operation of eFTI Gates, implementing a reference architecture for exchanging logistics and transport data encouraging Member States to work together for an harmonized and interoperable European-wide eFTI exchange environment.
eFTI4LIVE builds on the ongoing eFTI4EU and eFTI4ALL projects, bringing together 55 partners from 19 EU countries to implement the Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI) system by 2027, while involving additional companies and Member States.
The project focuses on streamlining data exchange and ensuring compliance with the eFTI Regulation (EU 2020/1056), thereby improving efficiency and sustainability in the freight sector.
eFTI4ALL builds on the eFTI4EU project and contributes to the implementation of the eFTI Regulation (EU 2020/1056) by involving additional Member States and including economic operators, supporting them in the transition to digital freight documentation.
The project also tests real-world freight use cases, such as dangerous goods and multimodal transport.
The TRUST project is developing an integrated digital platform for road haulage, enabling advanced communication between transport companies, vehicles and logistics operators.
Through innovative technological tools, the platform helps to improve the operational efficiency and sustainability of logistics hubs and the entire freight transport chain.
